Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib, also referred to as a bassinet for babies, is placed next to your bed to ensure that you can safely attend to your infant during night feeds and nappy-changings, without needing to leave the bed. They are also great for creating independence as your child becomes more confident in their own sleep space.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep with their infant while making sure that they're asleep safely. The smooth glide motion helps to ease your baby back to sleep, and its ingenuous features allow you to monitor them without having to leave your bed.

The side panel that slides out of the cot can be lifted and lowered by a simple pressing of a button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a crying baby in the night. It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit on the mattress of almost any size bed. It also includes adjustable folding feet to make sure that it's placed at just the right height.

The cot is padded, has mesh sides to increase ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam to provide extra protection. It's also washable so you can keep it clean. It also comes with a fitted sheet that is suitable for the cot.

Unlike some other bedside cribs, the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a standalone crib when it's not connected to the bed. It's packed with features designed with parent-baby bonding in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that although this crib is great for infants, it will not last long once your little one turns six months old, and you'll have to purchase larger cots. But, in general Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she particularly liked its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for such a cot. She also liked the way it was positioned in the bedroom and believed that the grey shade is a good fit for modern homes. However, she did point out that it isn't an ideal idea to rock a younger baby because it can set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to give you a good night's rest.  bedside crib to cot  features a drop side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your baby at night without having to disturb your baby or get out of bed it's ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight, which makes it easy to move around the house during naps and when traveling.

We love that it's made of soft fabrics with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It comes in charcoal or oak and a variety of melange fabrics that blend with all styles of decor. Anna found that it was sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs clicked into place and the zippers were secured for safety. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number if you experience any issues.

The CoZee crib comes with all the features you'd expect from a crib for your bedside, including the ability to connect it to your bed with a stay-in-place connection system. It also has six height settings. In addition, there is an inclines feature that can be used to aid infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It can also be washed by a machine - a must for all the dribbles and snot that accompany a new baby!

If you want to keep your baby close during the first six months when they're beginning to learn to sleep independently and independently, the CoZee is a fantastic option because it can be used as a standalone cot, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it can be transformed into an bed. While it won't be able to magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. It does have a lot of excellent features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib that is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism to open and close the side panel. It's easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels as well as feet that retract to installation under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel, that can be moved up and downwards with just one push of a switch. This was particularly useful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended, since it increases the likelihood that your baby will fall out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only remain in place if it's properly attached to the parent's mattress. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. It features a tilting feature for babies with reflux, as well as a rocking function to help soothe them to sleep after a meal. It is also very large and offers excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one room to another. It's small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use, which is an advantage if you need to transport it. The only negative our test subjects found was that the side panel did not stretch as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to observe your baby from the bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great choice for an infant crib that will grow with your child. Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed, but can also convert into a stylish cot when your baby is ready. It's ideal for feeding your baby at night and fostering a bond with your newborn.

Contrary to other cribs for bed, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to reduce colic and reflux, while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby throughout the night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to start. It took us around an hour to assemble, and was reasonably straightforward. The only issue was the lack of captions written on some of the pictures, which made it difficult to understand some of the steps. Overall, the procedure was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

In the co-sleeping mode, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section as it allows them to easily reach out to their infant to feed and comfort them without having to climb out of their bed. It's great for parents who do not want to go through the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot or even getting them out of it.

During our tests, we found the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be extremely beneficial in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a huge selling point for our exhausted test moms. The Joie Roomie Glide is a modern and stylish crib that isn't rocking, nor does it come with extra features like a sound machine.
